You strike the beast solidly. It staggers back and falls dead. Salamdros pokes his body through the small hole and utters some mysterious words. A light flashes from his hands, striking the remaining beast. The ugly creature jumps on Salamdros immediately, clawing and biting. You may swing at the creature (AC 15). If you hit, go to page 173.
