The creature drops to its knees, then falls face-first onto the ground. Roderick quickly turns to Salamdros, who lies dying on the floor. Though Roderick attempts to stop the bleeding, his efforts cannot save the elf. Salamdros lies dead upon the floor.

Roderick begins to pile stones on the body. Though you may think this is a waste of time, you know by Roderick's grim face that he will not leave until Salamdros is buried. You help him cover your companion, then bow your head respectfully as he says a few words over the grave. When he is finished, you climb into the small chamber above. You may leave by its only exit. Go to page 180.
